Anchor of Promise #19 Nothing Can Separate

Last night I learned a little bit about the nature of demons, who they are, their activities here on earth and how much they try to make us fall into lies and temptations. These followers of Satan (who once were fallen angels of Heaven) are so intelligent and know us better than we know ourselves.

Their mission is to bring as many people with them to Hell by deceiving and seek to destroy us. They can appear as “angels of light” by twisting scripture to make our ears tickle and have feel good messages. These philosophies are so skewed to make it about us. That’s why it is so important to know what the Bible teaches and to “test the spirits”. (Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 1John 4:1)

I love what Paul writes in Romans 8. He stands firm that NOTHING can separate us from God. As much as Satan and his demons think they stand a chance to make a genuine follower of Jesus fall to their power, we cannot be separated from God.ac5d71739c928fde7ad5db06d7f2a22d

Romans 8:37-39: Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be ale to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Jesus says it clearly in John 10 :28-30

“And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.”

Remember that when in your moments of weakness that is when we need to be most alert. Be strong in the Lord and flee from temptation and you can have the victory. (He promises an escape out of Temptation {1 Corinthians 10:12-13} You cannot take on Satan or a demon in your own strength but by claiming the name of Jesus Christ you can have victory! (Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7) No matter what comes at you in this life, just remember that it can NEVER separate or pluck you out of the hand of God. The spiritual warfare is real and is testing us every day. Is your Anchor holding fast onto this promise so that you cannot be duped into thinking God can lose His grip on you?
